Antioxidants are substances that slows down the body’s oxidization processes. During this process, our body cells use oxygen which form natural chemicals that can harm our body called by-products or free radicals. Antioxidants, are also called free radical scavenger, and is responsible to stop the damage cause by the by-products of the drug. Its function include repair the injured tissues.
The antioxidant property of a plant is due to the presence of enzyme, called Co-enzyme Q 10 and he glutathione. Eating foods rich in antioxidant components is better than taking a synthetic health supplements. Although, the medicinal preparations sold in the market nowadays is advertised as natural substances but since it is manufactured synthetically from plants, there will still be a presence of other constituents in the supplement.
The other components in the drug may harm the body or may cause a development of a more serious condition. It does not really contain 100% of natural ingredients. Aside from that, these health supplements are sold at high prices so there is a big chance that you cannot maintain this supplement for a longer period of time.
That is why, many people just get the antioxidant components from different kinds of plants such as tomatoes, peaches, fruits, broccoli, green leafy vegetables and even strawberries. Another important reason why food rich in antioxidant property is better than taking health supplements is because it cut costs. You can buy cheap vegetable prices in the supermarkets. They are much cheaper compared to the antioxidant health products.
